The author, Warren Chaldis, lives in a small town in rural northeastern California. He is an educator with degrees and research experience in social and biological sciences and teach at several educational institutions. He has worked in Africa and North American on a variety of research projects. He contends that there is a growing assault on science, reason and critical thinking in this country and around the world, spearheaded largely by Christianity and Islam. Religion depends on ignorance in order to spread and as such is the eternal enemy of education. He believes with Harris that in the 21st century faith is largely evil, with Hitchens that religion spoils everything, and with Dawkins that god is a delusion. The creeping theocracy across America is a threat to freedom, liberty and constitutional principles. Religion of all stripes must be challenged at every instance.
